Bethshan is a major provider of residential aged care with a modern 134 room residential aged care facility “Bethshan Gardens” on site .Our residents can access “Bethshan Gardens” when they have been assessed as needing care by the Aged Care Assessment Team and it is within Bethshan’s capacity to provide.
Bethshan is located at Wyee between the beautiful Lake Macquarie and Central Coast areas of NSW’s with easy access through major transport corridors and services to beaches, nature surrounds, shops, hospitals and medical services.
Our village bus operates to Lake Haven Shopping Centre once a week. Bethshan Gardens Aged Care Facility also has a hair dressing salon and a weekly doctor visit.
Bethshan Church holds regular services and programs. There is a wonderful community spirit.
An emergency call system is in place 24 hours a day.
Loan Licence Agreement and Maintenance Fee
Bethshan Village is a retirement village operating under the NSW Retirement Village Act and offers accommodation through a loan licence agreement. Bethshan licences the home to the resident for the duration of their stay in the village for a loan. That loan is charged a departure fee of 4% per annum reducing the loan to nil after 25 years. For a stay of less than 25 years the balance of the loan after deducting 4% p.a is refundable. The village has community expenses such as council rates, water rates, building insurance, lawn mowing, repairs and maintenance to the buildings and communal facilities. To cover these costs the village charges a maintenance fee set at 20% of the standard single pension.
