Bethshan Gardens has 134 single rooms with ensuites in a configuration of 7 cottages. The building compensates for disability, maximizes independence, enhances self esteem, demonstrates care for staff and is oriented and understandable for residents. It is welcoming to relatives and visitors.
All the cottages have lounge rooms and a domestic type kitchen for the serving of food and preparation of simple meals. All rooms are big enough to customise with personal furnishings and memorabilia. All rooms include air conditioning and a flat screen TV. There is also Telephone, Internet and Foxtel services available at an optional extra cost.
To enable residents to wander freely there are secure outdoor areas, with gardens and a wandering path. Seats and comfort stops are provided. Residents are be able to walk through a cottage, outside and back into a cottage as desired in a secure and safe environment.
Bethshan Gardens is fully accredited by the Aged Care Standards and Accreditation Agency
Bethshan offers permanent and respite accommodation with 24 hour, 7 days a week care. Our multipurpose services include low care, high care, dementia care and respite care.
Every effort is made to ensure that cultural and spiritual needs of residents are met, regardless of denomination.
Meals are prepared and cooked fresh every day by our professional catering team in our own production kitchen. We offer rotating and varied menus reviewed by a specialist for nutrition. Special dietary needs are catered for. Ensuring the happiness of our residents at mealtimes is a very important core value of our service.
Activities and outings are regularly organised and holidays such as Christmas, Easter , Mothers, Fathers Day and birthdays are specially celebrated. Friends and family are invited to be a part of and participate in the programs.
Bethshan Gardens has a hairdressing salon on site and is available on a fee for service basis.
Bethshan greatly appreciates the contribution volunteers make to the well being of residents and the provision of service. Volunteers contribute in many ways such as driving the bus, staffing the kiosk, leading devotions or just visiting and sharing time with others. Volunteering can be for as little as an hour a week and is for both young and old alike. There are no age limitations.
Getting involved has great rewards. It provides opportunity to meet new people, to become part of a team and provides a sense of satisfaction in helping others and making a difference.
